Exploring the evidence that the works of Shakespeare were written by Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford

Win $1,000 First Prize in 2020 “Who Wrote Shakespeare?” Video Contest

The Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship’s Fourth Annual “Who Wrote Shakespeare?” Video Contest is accepting submissions through July 20, 2020!

First prize is $1,000! Second prize: $500. Third prize: $250.

Open to United States residents in its first two years, the contest last year opened up to residents of the United Kingdom, Canada (except for Québec), Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, in addition to the United States. This year we are also opening the contest to residents of France, Germany, and Denmark. The contest is also open this year to residents of Québec along with the rest of Canada. The rules are posted in English, French, and German. You must be at least 18 years old to enter. There is no fee to enter. No purchase is necessary.

The mission of the “Who Wrote Shakespeare?” Video Contest is to promote evidence that supports reasonable doubt about the authorship of the works of Shakespeare and encourages discussion of the authorship question. Videos by up to 16 finalists will be available for public voting, which in past contests has brought thousands of people to the SOF website. You can share this link with your friends by email and social media: https://shakespeareoxfordfellowship.org/sof-video-contest

Videos must be no more than 3 minutes in length, must be predominantly in English, and must address the Shakespeare authorship question in an innovative and original way. You can see videos of past winners and finalists here.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: July 20, 2020. Finalists will be announced on August 10, 2020, and their videos will be available for public viewing and voting from August 10, 2020, to September 20, 2020. The winners will be announced publicly on the SOF website and during the SOF annual conference. (Update: The annual conference is now expected to be held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We still expect to announce the winners and publicize them on the SOF website on October 4, 2020, as originally planned.)
