Ladies’ Night at the Blue Boar Tavern is next week

Blue Boar Tavern
Join Oxfordian scholars for a pint in The Blue Boar Tavern.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the women of the Blue Boar Tavern, Bonner Cutting, Dorothea Dickerman and Phoebe Nir, will host a special discussion on March 12 at 8:00 pm Eastern/5:00 pm Pacific about the women who influenced Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, and played important roles in the development of the works of “William Shakespeare.”

Margery Golding , Mary Vere, Anne Cecil, Elizabeth Trentham, Anne Vavasour, the Cooke sisters, Elizabeth, Bridget and Susan Vere and, of course, Queen Elizabeth, are sure to be discussed, but we will raise a glass to other remarkable historical women who also played a role.  Jonathan Dixon will man the Tavern bar and field questions from our audience.

Mark your calendar and watch your email for the link to this live event. (Not on our email list? Sign up here!)
