Registration Open Now For Free SOF April 9 Symposium

Registration is now open for the Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship’s free international Zoom conference which will take place on April 9.

Kathryn Chiljan introduces the First Folio and the many issues it raises

The conference – running from noon to 5:30 p.m. (US Eastern Daylight Time) — will include major papers on the First Folio by scholars Katherine Chiljan and Roger Stritmatter along with a range of other papers by Michael Delahoyde, James Warren, Robert Prechter and Cheryl Eagan-Donovan.

A highlight for all (but especially for newcomers to the issue) will be a delightful Authorship 101 paper to be presented by SOF Newsletter editor Alex McNeil.

SOF President Bob Meyers in Washington D.C. will open the conference at noon which will be divided into two sessions with a 45-minute break in-between.

The first session will be chaired from San Francisco by former SOF President John Hamill from 12:05 to 2:30; the second session will be chaired from Toronto by York University Professor and SOF Vice President Don Rubin from 3:15 to 5:30.

Professor Roger Stritmatter presents on “Poetic Form As Code” in the Folio

Chiljan, Delahoyde, Eagan-Donovan and Warren will be presenting during the first session. McNeil, Prechter and Stritmatter will present during the second session.

A Zoom link along with a preliminary schedule, speakers and topics will be sent in advance to everyone registering.

The week before the symposium, all registrants will also receive the full Symposium Program with a final schedule, titles and abstracts of the papers being presented and bios of all the speakers.
