Ashland Here We Come!
The Conference Committee of the Board of Trustees is pleased to announce details of registration, hotel and ticket reservations for the 2022 SOF annual conference in Ashland, Oregon from September 22-25, 2022.
Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and this year’s conference program includes the opportunity to reserve discounted tickets for their production of The Tempest.
The spacious Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites will serve as the conference center and a number of rooms have been reserved for SOF conference participants at special room rates of $139 to $159 per night from September 21 – 25, 2022.
To make your reservation you can call the hotel directly at (855) 482-8310 or go online. To get the special rate, callers should identify themselves as attending the SOF conference and give the SOF group ID number 240854. To book online go to ashlandhillshotel.com and use 240854 in the Group ID field. Reservations must be received by August 22 after which rooms will be released for general sale. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival has two works from the canon in its 2022 season: The Tempest and King John. We have secured group discount tickets at $67.50 each for the evening performance of The Tempest on September 23rd. We are not arranging tickets for King John because the playing times conflict with the Conference program.
Early registration for the conference is now available online at the reduced rate of $250 for SOF members. Registration includes all conference presentations, three lunches, and opening reception. Non-member early registration is $275. After August 1, registrations for both categories will increase by $25. Individual day registrations are also available at $75 and $85. Anyone who previously paid a registration fee for the cancelled 2020 conference and left the fee with SOF will have that payment automatically credited to the 2022 conference fee and will receive a new receipt showing payment. If they are not planning to attend, they can — by writing to the Conference chair by the early registration deadline — request a full refund or turn the fee into a donation to SOF.
