April 12 – it’s Edward de Vere’s birthday!

It was on this date, April 12, in 1550 that Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, was born in Castle Hedingham, Essex. His parents were John de Vere, 16th Earl of Oxford and Margaret Golding, sister of the poet and scholar Arthur Golding.
