Exploring the evidence that the works of Shakespeare were written by Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford

Edward de Vere is getting recognized

Blue Boar Tavern residents Phoebe Nir and Dorothea Dickerman spotted some encouraging good press of late.

Phoebe noted this Britannica entry for the 17th Earl and Dorothea Dickerman writes of Wikipedia’s
Philip Herbert entry.  “Do my eyes deceive me?   Do you also see in this Wikipedia entry the words “He married Susan de Vere, the youngest daughter of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, the Oxfordians’ William Shakespeare” followed immediately by a sentence that explains that Philip and William were the incomparable pair of brethren in the FF? Will it be erased?  Or has the tide slowly, subtly begun to turn at Wiki?”

Not to be outdone, Bonner Miller Cutting says of the Philip Herbert entry:  “YAY!!!  Everybody scroll down to the picture of the great Van Dyck painting of the Pembroke Family.  The caption clearly says the Earl is sitting by his FIRST WIFE – who we know is Susan Vere.  After centuries of art historians pretending that the Earl’s second wife Anne Clifford is at his side, maybe we finally are making real progress!”
