Exploring the evidence that the works of Shakespeare were written by Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford

Does this ring true?

Those of us those of us doing our Christmas shopping a few years ago may have missed an advertisement from the antique jewelery house Berganza of Hatton Garden, London:

Apart from who bought it (it doesn’t appear to be for sale now) questions do come up:  Has it been authenticated?  Is it a reproduction? Are there many copies?

Nonetheless, it’s welcome publicity from an unexpected angle and thanks to Paul Bredderman for drawing it to our attention.
