The SOF is currently seeking an Editor for its annual peer-reviewed scholarly journal The Oxfordian. If you would like to apply or if you would like to recommend someone for this important and prestigious position, please note the following:
We are seeking someone with knowledge of and demonstrated interest in the Shakespeare Authorship Question generally, and interest in Oxfordianism
specifically.- We are seeking someone with experience in editing and /or publishing.
- We are seeking someone with good “people” skills who will be able to create a transparent editorial process that will work positively for the organization.
- We are seeking someone comfortable working effectively with an Editorial Advisory Board jointed appointed by the SOF President and the TOX Editor. In the past, members of this Board have served as the core of its regular peer reviewers.
- Editorship of the journal currently pays an annual stipend/honorarium of US $8,000. An additional honorarium is paid by the SOF for design support.
- It is hoped that this renewable one-year appointment will commence no later than April 1, 2026, and that the newly appointed Editor will be able to publish his/her first volume of the journal by the end of 2026 and thereafter each September.

The Search Committee, composed of Bonner Cutting (Chair), Professor Don Rubin and SOF Newsletter Editor Emeritus Alex McNeil, anticipate holding interviews during the last two weeks of February and making its recommendation to the SOF Board of Trustees in March.
