Join us on the Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship Facebook page for the second annual Shakespeare Authorship Mystery Day on November 8, when we will host live authorship talks with Q&A from noon to 5pm Eastern (9am–2pm Pacific). While enjoying the talks, you can question the speakers and chat with other viewers. Be sure to invite your authorship-curious friends – the talks will be an ideal introduction to the many reasons to doubt the traditional attribution of Shakespeare’s works.
Noon – 1:30 EST Ros Barber: Intro to the Shakespeare Authorship Question
1:30 – 3:00 EST Tom Regnier: The Law in Shakespeare
3:00 – 4:00 EST Roger Stritmatter: TBA
4:00 – 5:00 EST Michael Delahoyde: Shakespeare in Italy
Shakespeare Authorship Mystery (SAM) Day commemorates the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio on November 8, 1623 and recognizes steadily growing doubts about the traditional story of Shakespeare’s authorship. SAM day is an opportunity for all authorship doubters—whether they support a particular candidate as the true Bard, or simply doubt the traditional Stratfordian theory of authorship—to amplify their voices and increase curiosity about the true authorship of Shakespeare’s plays and poems.
The 2018 SAM Day presentations will mark the SOF’s first use of Facebook Live, a video streaming service launched by the social network in April 2016. Facebook Live allows interaction between speakers and viewers, offering an exciting new way to educate about the authorship question. The SOF will also be posting to Facebook and other social media channels throughout the day, including Twitter and Instagram.
We hope to see you at some or all of the Facebook Live talks on November 8!
