There is much talk about AI in the news and we have posted one long article on it already: https://shakespeareoxfordfellowship.org/im-feeling-better-now-dave-ai-saq/
The danger to be avoided at all costs is to stop when you get the answer you want.
But when you already have a background in a topic enabling you to push back with authority, confidence and (shock!) primary source evidence, you can unlock AI’s undervalued benefit of being possibly the best learning tool ever invented.
So with that as background, the SOF is initiating an occasional “Send us an AI prompt” feature. Here are two examples:
If a single argument, capable of withstanding a counter argument from the likes of either Jonathan Bate or James Shapiro, could be composed using all the currently available evidence in favor of Edward de Vere being the author behind Shakespeare, what would that argument be and in 400-500 words how should it be crafted?
If the Oxfordian argument hasn’t convinced Stratfordians yet, it’s because there isn’t yet irrefutable evidence although there’s endless circumstantial evidence in favor of Oxford being the true author. Oxfordians continue to search for the “smoking gun” evidence that will put the question to rest for good. Where is the best place to look for the smoking gun out of all the possible places? What’s the best strategy most likely to reveal the overwhelming evidence Oxfordians seek?
Now pick an AI chatbot such as perplexity.ai, and see what you get with those two prompts. Then push back and ask what Stratfordians would say. Then push back on those arguments until the conversation becomes a stalemate or gives a logically clear answer.
Once you’ve cut your teeth on those two prompts, come up with some of your own and send them to us at info@shakespeareoxfordfellowship.org. We will post the ones we think are the most interesting, useful or funny.
The only rule we will impose is NO STOPPING WHEN YOU GET JUST WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR.
