Exploring the evidence that the works of Shakespeare were written by Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford

Shakespeare’s Songbook

Paul Bredderman Sr shared the following with us recently:

The Complete Collection of Ballads, Rounds, Ayres & other Songs from the Plays of William Shakespeare Shakespeare’s Songbook is a meticulously researched collection of 155 songs—ballads and narratives, drinking songs, love songs, and rounds—that appear in, are quoted in, or alluded to in Shakespeare’s plays.

Drawing substantially on the unmatched resources of the Folger Shakespeare Library, Ross W. Duffin brings complete lyrics (many newly recovered) and music notation together for the first time, and in the process sheds new light on Shakespeare’s dramatic art.

Here is Volume 2 of Shakespeare’s Songbook.  I found the commentary about it to be of considerable interest. It should be of  interest to other Oxfordians too.
